Down With Anything





I found a pretty interesting quote: "Down with anything which would tend to make us like our persecutors," - Patrick Henry

It has nothing to do with the picture above, at least from my standpoint, but it does make sense from Colonial America's - they shunned tea since it was considered such a "British" drink at the time, and they opted for coffee instead. It's why Americans drink more coffee than tea; the trend just stuck. It's only been in recent decades that tea has increased in popularity and everyone forgot about it being fairly treasonous to drink tea.
